Following undergraduate studies at Ithaca College and Cornell University, Carey O’Toole earned her master’s degree from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado in 2003. Additionally, she pursued post-graduate coursework at Immaculata. She was originally licensed in Colorado in 2005 and is currently a licensed professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. Carey has worked in school, residential and outpatient settings. Her main area of specialization is couples counseling with advanced training in the Gottman method and attachment-based couples counseling. Carey also specializes in anxiety, parenting, self-esteem and depression. She utilizes many clinician modalities including CBT, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, DBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
When she is not in the office, Carey enjoys spending time with her family, staying active, reading, finding something to laugh about and singing in the car whenever possible.
