Amy Borla earned her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Capella University. She has already passed the MFT National Examination and is completing the supervision requirement for Pennsylvania licensure. She has worked with individuals and couples in private practice settings. Amy utilizes a systems and attachment-based approach using a combination of Emotionally Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy. Her goal is to create a safe space for clients to explore their emotions and strengthen their attachment bonds with the people they care about most. As Amy helps her clients do the more serious work, she likes to weave in humor and provide a sense of accomplishment that helps clients recognize progress. Her
specialties are LGBTQ+ and non-traditional relationships (consensual non-monogamy, kink, etc.). She is also a certified pre-marital counselor and coach for individuals and couples impacted by ADHD. She offers daytime, evening, and weekend appointments for all ages.
When not at work, Amy enjoys spending time with her family, friends and three cats. Her hobbies include crafts of all kinds, board games, playing ukulele and doing puzzles. She also enjoys local community theater productions and escape rooms.
